Stockholm Design Week 2017

The 2017 edition of Stockholm Design Week offered hundreds of thrilling events, mingling, exhibitions and previews held at different locations around the city. Companies like Asplund, Fogia, Form Us With Love, Iittala, Ikea, Kinnarps, Marimekko participated.
Some of the 2017 highlights were:
The “Designed to Last” exhibition by Residence & ArkDes with Kråkvik&D’Orazio, held at the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design, focused on one of the biggest issues in contemporary design: sustainability, and what it means to make objects for the long-term.
The Eero Aarnio exhibition celebrating the work of Finnish designer Eero Aarnio, who rocketed to fame in 1966 with his Ball Chair, a smooth-shelled icon of the Swinging Sixties.
Pilotis by Doshi Levien for Kvadrat – An architectural installation playing on light shape and layers featuring textured, smooth and perforated textiles.
Bolon launched the exhibition Innovators At Heart curated by Form Us With Love. The exhibition was packed with new products, classic chair designs, crossover collections and new collaborations.
Six of Sweden's most interesting stylists were invited by Design House Stockholm to do one display window each of the department store NK in the heart of Stockholm. The installations could be seen throughout the whole week.
