Salongen F12

in

Popular bar styled to look like a living room – al- though a rather unusual one. The muted 1970s colour scheme and leather-covered walls make it look more like a cross between a strip club and a rumpus room. Nevertheless, this is a charming and popular spot. Generous, tasty cocktails.

Riche

in

Another classic that’s rejuvenated at regular intervals. One thing’s certain, however both bars will be packed at the weekend. One’s the haunt of the younger set and is sometimes so crowded you can hardly move. Different DJs fix the music while the bartenders energetically mix the drinks. The larger bar attracts a somewhat older crowd, but by midnight there’s usu- ally a tremendous atmosphere up there as well.

Och himlen därtill

in

Right at the top of Söder’s Skrapan (the former Tax Agency Tower), there’s a bar where you can sip classic cocktails and look out over the Stock- holm night. Skrapan ”the Skyscraper” is a full 81 metres tall and was designed by Paul Hedqvist in 1959. The Tax Agency Tower, a familiar Stockholm landmark, has recently been converted into stu- dent flats and a shopping mall. The Skybar, featur- ing floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic 360° view of the city, is an absolute must. The architect behind both the Skybar and the shopping mall is Per Ahrbom.
