Under a year Codesign and EKV has through an inclusive process created school furniture that supports children and educators in their everyday lives.
Emelie Heinlo, business developer at Codesign with many years of experience as a teacher in school will share how learning environments have developed historically and where we are heading.
Following this, there will be a conversation about the actual design work of the school furniture, where the inclusive process together with students, educators, business developers, architects and producers has been the key.
How does the learning environment affect the furniture and vice versa? Can you create different learning situations with one set of furniture? How do you satisfy both the user's and the business's needs in the same design? How to design furniture that is available to many? These are some of the questions that will be discussed while you will also see the school furniture that Codesign has created in close collaboration with EKV Bord & Stolar.
In the end of the talk we will show a prototype of Kompis, a piece of furniture that you have never seen before.
